The Bulldogs are now 2-0 this season, after beating out Batavia in a two-part game last week.
“The line took care of business tonight,” Coach John Gammon told the Sun. “When we take care of the little things, big things happen.”
Less than 2 minutes into the first quarter, Senior Aj Ayers scored a touchdown, while senior Jack Horan added a field goal. Senior Josh Henderson capped off the quarter with another touchdown, with less than 5 minutes remaining.
The second quarter started with a bang, as Junior Ethan Perham got an interception 20 seconds in, leading to another touchdown. Henderson added a 2 point conversion for the Bulldogs. With less than 30 seconds remaining before the half, the Ayers and Horan combo added another 7 points.
Ayers and Horan struck again 6 minutes into the third quarter, followed by Junior Jon Greely 10 minutes in.
Batavia scored their only touchdown early in the fourth quarter, but were matched when Freshman Matt Hyde scored a touchdown of his own 9 minutes into the last quarter.
The Bulldogs face Wayland-Cohocton Friday, September 19. The match will take place at the Cohocton Complex, slated to go off at 7:30p.m.
