LIVONIA – The Livonia Bulldogs pulled a close fought victory from Batavia, winning 19-16.
Continuing from a Friday night cancellation, the game began with 4:45 left before halftime.
“They really came together as a family” said Coach John Gammon.
The second period ended with Batavia scoring a touchdown, and adding a two point conversion. The half was capped off by a huge interception by Livonia’s Senior, Josh Henderson.
Early in the 3rd period, Senior Josh Henderson had an 85 yard punt return to move the Bulldogs ahead. Retaliation by Batavia came in the form of an early 4th period touchdown, putting them up 16-13.
The Bulldogs pulled ahead with 1.7 seconds left on the clock, a massive touchdown by Senior Jack Horan sealed their victory.
Livonia Football will play again on Friday, September 12th against Hornell at Livonia. The match will begin at 7:30p.m.
