LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for several towns in and around Livingston County.
The warning will be active in Geneseo, Letchworth State Park, Avon Mount Morris Honeoye Falls, Conesus, Bristol and Lima until 9:45 p.m.
“Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening,” posted the National Weather Service. “Some of these storms may produce very heavy rainfall, which may cause flooding in urban and poor drainage areas in a few localized areas.”
About 3 inches of rain have fallen on Sunday as of 6:41 p.m.
The hazardous weather outlook for the rest of the week is low.
The National Weather Service recommends avoiding driving on flooded roads and reporting any flood conditions by calling 911.
Lights have flickered in some Livingston County residences, but neither RG&E, National Grid, nor NYSEG are reporting local outages.
