First Case of Covid-19 in New York State Reported Last Year On March 1st

 

Although it did not appear to be a major issue at the time, New York State reported its first confirmed case of covid-19 on March 1^st of 2020.  At that time there were only 65 reported cases throughout the entire United  States.

Governor Cuomo assured the  woman was  ” in a controlled situation since arriving to New York,” and he anticipated that “there will be community spread” but that “there’s no reason for concern.”

Since then about 136 million people have contracted the disease with the NYS borders.
