LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Debate season is here.
The GeneseeSun.com has confirmed the first in a series of candidate debates. Incumbent Livonia Town Supervisor Eric Gott will debate his challenger, Marty Hughes, live on our Facebook page on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
Conrad Baker and Josh Williams will moderate the debates and produce the broadcasts. The public is encouraged to submit questions during the broadcast for consideration.
“We have made some great improvements to our Sunroom that will provide a multi-camera, high-quality broadcast which will educate the voters on the candidates,” said Williams, General Manager of the GeneseeSun.com. “We take great pride in offering a non-endorsed platform that supports all candidates who run for office.”
Any contested candidate who is interested in participating in a debate can email us at email@example.com so we can make arrangements.
“Some residents are quick to criticize public officials when they unexpectedly make decisions they don’t agree with,” said Conrad Baker, News Director of the GeneseeSun.com. “This is an opportunity for voters to learn more about their candidates than their party lines. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to learn about their candidates’ stances on relevant Town issues.”
To watch the debate, simply go to the GeneseeSun.com Facebook page here. The live streams will begin five minutes prior to the official start time. Official start times to other debates will be announced at a later date.
The Geneseesun.com has previously hosted and moderated debates for Avon Village Mayor, Livingston County District Attorney, Livingston County Sheriff, and multiple Town Council and Village Board of Trustees races.
