LEICESTER – A fire destroyed a home at the Creekside Mobile Home Park early Wednesday evening.
Five fire departments converged on the scene at about 4:26 p.m. Trailer 40 at 2561 Kingston Road was fully engulfed in flames.
“I came up on my driveway and saw this black smoke and thought it was my house,” said Jason Gregg, who lives next door. “When these things go, they go. We helped the firefighters haul hose and moved gas and the lawnmower out of the back. We were just worried about these two big propane tanks.”
No one was transported to the hospital as a result of the fire.
Numerous residents of surrounding trailers came out to watch the firefighters work.
Investigators are currently on scene trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Firefighters with the Leicester, Mount Morris, Cuylerville, York, and Perry Center FIre Departments responded to the scene alongside ambulance crews with Livingston County EMS, investigators with the Livingston County Office of Emergency Management, and Deputies and investigators with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
