CALEDONIA – The Rochester mail clerk and Caledonia resident who is facing federal charges for alleged mail theft apparently used stolen gift cards to shop in Avon.
According to news partner 13WHAM, a Special Agent with the United States Postal Service accuses Caledonia resident Sheila Fullmer, 60, of stealing gift cards and other items while working at the Rochester Processing and Distribution center earlier in October.
According to court paperwork, Fullmer is accused of stealing gift cards and using them to make an $89.04 purchase at a store in Avon.
Federal agents obtained security camera footage of Fullmer allegedly opening and stealing items from mail while working at the Rochester Processing and Distribution center.
Fullmer is accused of engaging in the theft of U.S Mail in violation of Title 18 for a total of $1,709.
She faces up to five years in federal prison if she’s convicted.
