SPRINGWATER – Falling from a tree stand injured a hunter on Harper’s Ferry Road on Monday.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the 28-year-old male hunter lost consciousness and fell about 10 feet to the ground at about 12:42 p.m.

An emergency helicopter was on standby while first responders worked on getting the injured man to the road. They did not call for the helicopter to respond.
The hunter regained consciousness and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty said that he recommends that all hunters use safety harnesses when hunting from tree stands.
