ROCHESTER — On May 17 there will be an Awards Banquet at the Burgundy Basin Inn at 6:30pm for the hardworking youth membership and adult leaders of the Rochester program called Exploring. They will be honoring two people involved with Public Service this year in honor of the two Webster Firefighters that were lost last December.
“We want businesses to attend and sponsor,” said Rachel Greenberg, Exploring Executive, “we want them to see the value in our program.”
Exploring is a hands-on experience for high school students ages 14-20. The engaging activities led by adults help teach students more about a particular career they are interested in. They have about 80 programs in 28 different career fields that they offer and currently serve 1500 youth.
At the Awards Banquet there will be a DJ, Silent Auctions, and an Awards Ceremony. They will be recognizing some of Exploring’s most dedicated and hard-working youth members and adult leaders.
Exploring is hoping for a big turnout of their members and people in the community who value what they do. To sponsor a table the cost is $250, but donations at any level are appreciated.
