LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The new Livingston County Chairman of the Board of Supervisors was voted on Thursday afternoon, and Eric Gott from Livonia emerged the victor.
The weighted vote was very close. Gott emerged with 1,068 votes, and Will Wadsorth, from Geneseo, was second with 941.
“I’m excited for 2014 where we will continue to work together as a 17-member team.” said Gott, now sitting in the seat previously held by James Merrick. “No terminations are looming today. There is no town or county separation north or south. We are one team and work that way again.”
Gott then chose David LeFeber, the Town Supervisor from Avon, as his Vice Chariman.
