Email to the Editor: Fletcher Perfect for Geneseo Village Board

To the editor of the Genesee Sun

I am writing today to fully support Leah Fletcher for a position on the Geneseo Village Board. I have known her as a friend and as a fellow board member for the Geneseo Community Players. We served together on the GCP board for 5 years. In her role as a producer and board president, she was cheerful, diligent, persistent, and her ability to follow up was amazing.

Leah is a non-stop worker for anything that she believes in, and I know that she believes in Geneseo. She has lived here for 24 years. She and her family have been involved in the GCS public school system, SUNY Geneseo, Teresa House, Little League, Community Theatre, Rotary Club, farmer’s markets and summer festivals.

She has worked at Teresa House for over 12 years and In Oct. 2016, was promoted to the part-time position of Director. She is responsible for many of the day-to- day business functions of the organization. Some of her responsibilities include managing databases, balancing financial records, and running the Annual Campaign fundraiser. She works closely with the Nursing Director, Outreach Director, Board of Directors, nursing staff, volunteers and community members. This has given her business and financial experience, as well as working with other people.

Because of her strong belief in community service and her wonderful disposition, I think she would be the perfect person for a position on the Geneseo Village Board.
