LIVINGSTON COUNTY – National Grid has restored power to more than 8,000 local customers who were without power as of 4:49 p.m. on Thursday.
As of 6 p.m. Thursday, National Grid reported that 8,283 local customers were without electricity. A blown transformer was reported in Lakeville at 4:49 p.m.
A handful of customers are still without power in Lakeville.
Outage areas included Lakeville, Conesus, Geneseo, Groveland, Livonia, and Hemlock.
National Grid originally estimated that power is would be restored by 10 p.m.
Power was out at Genesee Valley Plaza in Geneseo, which contains Wegmans.
Traffic lights were also out on 20A at Genesee Valley Plaza and Rte. 256.
Members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Geneseo Police Department assisted with traffic at intersections with stoplights out.
