LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Today is election day, and the fate of the 2013 Livingston County Republican Sheriffs Candidates rests in the hands of the voters, and voting they are.
In a county that is home to approximately 65,070 people there is a grand total of 16,312 Republican voters and 786 Conservative voters. The early numbers for both the Republican and Conservative primaries is on pace to set a record for a non-presidential primary.
1:15 p.m. : North Dansville, Districts 1,2,3,4,5, and 6, there were 58 total voters. In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 240 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) in that district.
2:00 p.m. : Jones Hall in Caledonia, Districts 1,2,3, and 4, there were 112 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) . In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 190 total voters in that district.
2:15 p.m. : York Town Hall, Districts 1,2, and 3, there were 124 total voters. In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 179 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) in that district.
5:00 p.m. : Geneseo Methodist Church, Districts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8, there were 160 total voters. In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 463 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) in that district.
5:00 p.m. : Mount Morris, Districts 1,2,3,4, and 5 there were 206 total voters. In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 170 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) in that district.
5:00. p.m : Avon Village Hall, Districts 3,5, and 7, there were 204 total voters (Republican and Conservative combined) . In last year’s Republican Primary between Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler, there were 255 total voters in that district.
Voting started at 12:00 p.m. this afternoon and will continue until the polls close at 9:00 p.m. tonight.
Updates will be made regarding the amount of voters as the day goes on.
According to an official from the Livingston County Board of Elections, there has been a total of 448 absentee ballots requested this year.
Last year a total of 3,884 voters went to the voting machines in the Livingston County Republican Party Primary election, which resulted in a tie between Steve Sessler and Eric Schiener.
