LIVONIA – A Livonia man was arrested on Assault charges after an alleged fight with his ex-girlfriend apparently left her with a serious cut to her head in the hours between the night of Easter Sunday and Monday morning.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Daniel Kellman, 24, was charged with Assault in the Second Degree after Deputies arrived at the scene of an injured female on East South Street in Geneseo, and determined that she had been in a fight with Kellman in Livonia.
The victim was transported to Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville by ambulance and treated for her injuries. Kellman was later located in Livonia by Deputies and taken into custody.
Kellman was charged with one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a class D Felony. Kellman was arraigned in Livonia Town Court and was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff. Kellman is being held in the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 secured bond.
A complete stay away order of protection was issued to protect the victim.
The investigation and arrest were handled by Sheriff’s Deputies Brandan Flickner, Travis Lana, and Sergeant James Merrick.
