YORK – A Rochester resident was arrested for felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation after a Sheriff’s Deputy stopped him for allegedly speeding, and found that his drivers license had been suspended 23 times.
According to a press release from Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, James Presley, 32, had his operating privileges suspended twenty-two total times in the past, with sixteen suspensions being from ten different dates.
Due to the number of prior suspensions, Deputy Connor Sanford with the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit arrested Presley for Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree, an E Felony.
The stop was made in the area of Telephone Road in York.
Presley was arraigned in the Town of York Court where he was remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,500 dollars cash bail or $3,000 secured bond. Presley will return back to the Town of York Court at a later date.
