LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Drama is building around the 133rd State Assembly seat previously held by Bill Nojay as Republican leaders decide on their candidate.
Republican Party leaders from Monroe, Livingston and Steuben counties are meeting to choose the Republican candidate for the November ballot.
Despite Nojay’s passing away the Friday prior to the primary, he defeated his challenger Honeoye Falls Mayor, Rick Milne.
So far one rumored candidates with ties to Livingston County is Geneseo Town Supervisor, Will Wadsworth.
According to Republican leaders at the meeting, they are looking for a strong 2nd amendment and anti-safe act candidate.
Reverend Jason McGuire, the Livingston County Conservative Party Chair, has just accepted his party nomination and will be on the November ballot.
Barbara Baer will be the Democrat representative on the November Ballot.
