NUNDA – A Mount Morris man was arrested after a motor vehicle accident that happened on North State Street in the Village of Nunda when responding Sheriff’s Deputies observed that he was slipping in and out of consciousness.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Joseph Bujak, 49, struck a vehicle that was traveling northbound on State Street. Deputy Smyder responded and located the white pickup and Bujak was sitting in the driver’s seat, in and out of consciousness.
The roadside investigation by Deputies found Bujak was the driver of the pickup and caused the crash. Further investigation revealed that Joseph had a conditional license due to a prior DWI.
Deputies placed Bujak under arrest for Felony DWAI drugs and Felony aggravated unlicensed operation in the First Degree. Bujak was arraigned and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $3,000 cash or $6000 bond.
