On Sunday, September 14from 1p.m. to 3p.m. there will be a presentation and tour of building improvements that were generated by the New York State Main Street Program and the Livingston County Sign and Façade Improvement Program on Main Street in Dansville. Improvements have been made through these programs to twenty two buildings during the 2012-2014 time period. Several buildings took advantage of both programs. The event is a collaboration between the Dansville Area Chamber of Commerce, Livingston County Development Corps, and the Village of Dansville.
“Following the presentation, participants may follow a self-guided tour of the renovated buildings,” said Louise Wadsworth, Downtown Coordinator of the Development Corps, “including some of the residential spaces and upper floors.”
Wadsworth will show pictures of Main Street before and after the project starting at 1p.m. at the Star Theatre.
Wadsworth added that maps will be handed out at the event, identifying the participating buildings. Participation is free and everyone is invited to attend.
