On June 12, 2019 Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative when he stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law. The Deputy Sheriff suspected that the occupants in the vehicle were involved in drug activity and conducted a roadside drug investigation. The follow up investigation revealed that a passenger in the vehicle, 25 year old Sarah E. Jamieson of Rochester NY, was in possession of cocaine as well as a hypodermic needle.
Jamieson was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument. Jamieson was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Jamieson was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Livonia Justice Robert Lemen. The Judge did released Jamieson on her own recognizance.
