GENESEO— Mayor Margaret Duff met with the New York State Department of Transportation to discuss the details of the new four-way stop sign at the corner of North and Main Streets.
The meeting was requested by NYSDOT in order to give general information about the new stop signs, as well as giving town and village representatives the opportunity to ask questions. NYSDOT also provided analysis of their data and observation. This analysis alleges that drivers should have an easier time turning off of Court and North Streets, and that delays on Main Street should be minimal.
Additionally, signs warning of the new traffic pattern have been put up, and will likely remain until the beginning of the SUNY fall semester.
