UPDATE 4:47 PM
LIVINGSTON COUNTY – It’s a tragic end for David Homer, 47, who passed away Sunday morning.
According to law enforcement sources, Homer, 47, passed away early Sunday morning and was administered two doses of Naloxone.
Homer made headlines after being repeatedly tased in 2007 while in the custody of the Avon Police Department, after which he filed a law suit against police.
Homer was in and out of legal trouble for several violations of a restraining order against his girlfriend.
“I can confirm Deputies responded to an ambulance call last night for David Homer,” said Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty. “The Deputies did administer narcan but he later died at the hospital. The cause of death is still under investigation and folks should not jump to conclusions until a medical expert rules on that. We are working with the Medical Examiners office to determine that cause. It may be several months before we know the exact cause.”
