LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Catholic Charities is hosting their 4th annual Livingston County Spelling Bee on May 16th at Geneseo High School.
Master of Ceremonies again this year will be Don Alhart from Channel 13. Also joining us as celebrity judge will be Terry Clifford, aka T-bird from the Bee morning club.
There will be a spaghetti dinner sponsored and hosted by the Geneseo Wegmans and Geneseo Kiwanis at 5:30 pm in the large cafeteria. The spelling bee will follow at 7:30 pm in the Geneseo High School Auditorium.
According to a Catholic Charities press release there are some exciting changes to this year’s event, including chances for random audience members to win prizes throughout the night. We also have some new additions to our teams, including student teams from the University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology. They will be trying to out-spell a number of returning teams made up of local businesses, civic clubs, and high school students. Come be a part of this night of spelling fun, with many thanks to our major sponsors, Genesee Valley Motors and Genesee Valley Pennysaver.
Tickets are now available for both the Spelling Bee and dinner. For more information please contact Jessica at 658-4466 or jpierce@dor.org. Ticket prices are as follows:

All proceeds raised at this event will support Catholic Charities of Livingston County, a non-profit, human services agency dedicated to serving the needs of the homeless, very low income, working poor, children and elderly in Livingston County.
