DANSVILLE — Dansville ArtWorks will be hosting two events in the upcoming weeks: a Bridal Party Wedding Décor Workshop and a “Hometown Memories” art exhibit.
The Wedding Décor Workshop is a three-hour workshop for brides-to-be and their wedding parties to make their own wedding décor. Activities include learning calligraphy for wedding invitations, signs, and place cards, as well as creating paper flower decorations for the venue. Instructor Melissa Gartz will also give a demonstration for making handmade card boxes.
The workshop costs $40 to register, and includes all supplies, champagne, and light refreshments, and will take place on Saturday, Apr. 29 at 10 A.M. To register in advance, call 585-335-4746 or email dansvilleartworks@gmail.com.
In addition, Dansville ArtWorks is seeking artists to submit pieces for their “Hometown Memories” exhibit. Any work, in any medium, that reflects memories of your hometown is welcome. Up to five pieces per artist may be submitted, and the submission fee is $10 per piece.
Submissions for the “Hometown Memories” exhibit are due Mar. 11, and the exhibit is scheduled to run Apr. 6 – May 27. For more information or to submit a piece, click here.
The Dansville ArtWorks community arts center is located at 178 Main Street in downtown Dansville, and is open Thursdays through Saturdays.
