DANSVILLE – Dansville ArtWorks is on the search for local artists to take part in their upcoming exhibits.
Dansville ArtWorks is looking for artists to showcase pieces in their consignment shop. The gallery at 178 Main Street carries an array of locally made art works.
“Dansville ArtWorks aims to ensure there is a selection of high quality, hand crafted art work in a variety of media with a varied price range,” says the Dansville ArtWorks submission form.
The gallery seeks artists for both their September/October and November/December exhibits, in addition to a call for student artists for their January exhibit.
Dansville Artworks opened its doors in September 2014. The innovative art gallery invites the community to participate in its galleries, art supply shop, workshops, performances, craft fair booths, art festivals and more.
The gallery featured 16 local artists in their summer exhibit. Art ranged from sculptures to jewelry and woodworking.
In addition to the galleries, past events held by Dansville Artworks include the annual Chalk Walk and ArtsFest which took place Aug. 6 in historic downtown Dansville, as well as the ongoing author series which includes readings by published authors and open-mic for up and coming writers.
The Summer Exhibition and John Adamski Retrospective will run until Sept. 3, and the next author series event will be held Sept. 24 with Pushcart Prize nominated author, Joey Nicoletti as the guest.
