DANSVILLE – Dansville Artworks and Noyes Memorial Hospital will soon jointly open ‘Hats Off,’ an exhibit and month-long silent auction that turns the artistic spotlight on various headgear in cancer patients’ daily lives.
According to a press release from Dansville ArtWorks and the Noyes Health Foundation, the exhibit will have an opening reception on March 31 followed by a month-long silent auction.
A live auction will close the event on April 30, all to benefit the Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center at Noyes and Dansville ArtWorks.
More than 15 artists have donated 2D and 3D works that explore and express the role of the ‘hat’ in cancer patients’ lives. A preview of the exhibit is posted online here. All works are biddable the silent auction beginning March 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., which is free and open to the public, with refreshments served. Two $50 value tickets to the closing reception will be raffled off on March 31.
On April 30, the closing reception and dessert affair will provide one last opportunity for silent auction bidding, a live auction featuring art experiences, music, and wine by Inspire Moore. Limited tickets for the closing event will be available in late March at the Dansville ArtWorks or Noyes Health main lobby desk for $25 each.
Credit card purchases are available at Dansville ArtWorks only. In late April, Dansville ArtWorks will begin healing arts events at the gallery. Look for their April calendar to be posted on ArtWorks’ Facebook page here and website here.
