One of the jurors spoke to the Genesee Sun where they shared their impressions on the trial of Danielle Allen who is charged with 2nd-degree manslaughter and a lesser charge of Criminally Negligent Homicide.
The juror, speaking on conditions of anonymity stated, that they believed Postell was on top at the time of the fatal stabbing, that they wanted to see more DNA evidence and that the defense theory that she could have accidentally cut her own hand in the bathroom due to trauma or stress was plausible. The juror stated at this point they were undecided and agreed that based upon their earlier comments appeared to be leaning towards the defense. The juror also praised all parties involved and their efforts and professionalism throughout the trial.
The alternate was not present during any of the deliberations and has not reviewed any of the requested evidence by the jury.
This morning the jury is continuing with deliberations. They have already received additional evidence including blank sheets of paper, copies of the grand jury testimony and additional pictures of the living room and bedroom.
