LIVINGSTON COUNTY — This morning the Livingston County Board of Elections opened the final absentee ballot after Justice Ark ruled on 3 of the 6 in challenge being admitted. The Livingston County Republican District Attorney Primary is now once again a tie.
Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler now sit with each having 1,881 votes. Tonight the Livingston County Republican Committee will meet to vote as the tie breaker. Earlier in the year the committee voted in over 90 percent for Schiener.
Steve Sessler, who has already been endorsed by the Conservative party, will be on the November ballot along with District Attorney Greg McCaffrey, for Schiener to make the November ballot he must with the Republican primary.
All candidates have already agreed to participate in a debate to be hosted by the GeneseeSun.com on Oct 24th.
