Cyclist Walks Away from Collision with Car

GENESEO – A bicyclist traveling on Lakeville Groveland Road apparently strayed a little to far into traffic and was knocked down by a passing sedan at about 5:14 p.m., but fortunately suffered only minor injuries.

According to first responders on scene, the accident was very minor but could have been a lot worse, since bicyclists are virtually defenseless when involved in collisions with motor vehicles.

Ambulance crews with Geneseo ambulance and a Trooper with State Police responded to the scene. A second ambulance with Livingston County ALS also responded to the scene, but quickly left since Geneseo ambulance was already taking care of the only victim.
