Andy Nye helped organize the event in honor of his nephews battle with undifferentiated sarcoma. Colin, the son of Julie and Eric Gott, passed away at the age of three.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in Cycle for Hope today. For those of you who do not know this one day event was founded locally by my brother in law Andrew Nye in memory of our son Colin who passed away with cancer. The event takes place at many fitness centers in the Rochester region and in Geneseo at Cycle Craze Geneseo,” stated Eric Gott. “Thank you Debbie Jerris for hosting this great event. For all of his work Andy Nye was recognized with a well deserved award for the hundreds of thousands of dollars this event has raised for Camp Good Days and Golisano Children’s Hospital.”
Cycle Craze has been hosting the event for over three years now, this year they raised over $9,000 for the two charities.
“We have the most amazing group of people,” said Deb Jerris, Cycle Craze Owner. “Generous and caring. They make me so proud to take part in Cycle for Hope. Today was truly a special day.”
