LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Government Center on Court Street in Geneseo is the site of a massive cleanup effort after a pipe broke and leaked water throughout the building.
County Administrator Ian Coyle said Sunday that a sprinkler pipe elbow broke, leaking water to multiple areas of the building.
“There is heavy water damage but crews have been working around the clock since 2 a.m. on restoration,” said Coyle.
Coyle said that the biggest challenge has been cleaning up affected areas and the loss of the use of elevators, which were impacted by the leak.
All County departments expect to be fully operational Monday despite any ongoing cleanup efforts.
