About this event
Contest is open to individuals, families, businesses, organizations and clubs. Entry fee is $10 per scarecrow. All participants must register by September 30, 2022 to be considered for the contest. This eventbrite ticket is considered your registration.
Scarecrows may be made from any materials that the contestant chooses. Keep in mind that the scarecrow will be displayed outdoors during the contest and should be designed to withstand the weather. Scarecrows should be designed to stand upright and will be secured to nearby features (trees, lamp poles, etc) that are approved. You may display your scarecrow inside your business if you wish. Display location of scarecrows will be determined by the Main Street Committee. ***All scarecrows should be appropriate for public viewing. No adult, political or excessive “gory” themes. All scarecrows should be in good taste. Any scarecrow deemed distasteful or against these rules will not be accepted in the contest and/or removed from viewing. Be sure to maintain your scarecrow while it is displayed.***
Scarecrow installations may begin 9/23 and end 10/2. Scarecrows will remain on display through the month of October. Please remove them no later than November 2, 2022.
Public voting will begin following the setup (10/2) and will continue through Thursday, October 27, 2022. Voting will take place via paper ballots located at shops on Main Street. Winners will be announced at the Halloween Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 scarecrows with most votes! All scarecrows MUST be removed by Monday, November 2.
