CALEDONIA – Nearly three years after Commodity Resource Corporation (CRC) lost its facility to a catastrophic fire, the public is invited to a ribbon cutting on Tuesday.
According to a press release from CRC, their facility rebuild in Caledonia is complete and Land O Lakes/Purina has begun operations there. The ribbon cutting formally opens the facility at 2773 Caledonia Leroy Road, Caledonia with an open house on June 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the ribbon cutting at 1 p.m.
“It has been a long road since the fire in Nov of 2014,” said CRC. “With over $18M invested, the facility is cutting edge for dairy feed production with limitless capabilities. The rebuilding of the facility and continuation of the Land O Lakes Purina Feed business after the fire in October of 2014 will provide the retention of over thirty local jobs as well as support employment in many other affiliated businesses. Both Commodity Resource Corporation and Land O Lakes would like to express their appreciation to the many people and companies who supported us over the years and especially since the fire in 2014.”
Attendees of tomorrow’s ribbon cutting can take a tour to see that the rail-to-truck transload section of the facility also has many upgrades over the original facility.
There will be a buffet lunch.
