LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The Geneseo School Bus Driver who was charged with numerous DWI charges, has made bail and is now in treatment.
Manon Coyne, 47, made a court appearance along with her defense attorney, Sarah Welsey, and according to court records the two sides are in negotiations for a plea deal.
“From the start we have sought out a state prison sentence,” said Josh Tonra, Livingston County Assistant District Attorney.
Manon is facing five counts of felony Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law after allegedly driving a group of Geneseo Central School students to summer school classes intoxicated. If found guilty she is facing a potential sentence of 1-3 years.
Allegedly. Coyne left work and went directly to help a family member out who was involved with a police related incident, when the Livingston County Sheriff Deputy tested her for alcohol she allegedly blew a .24 BAC.
Per defense request the matter has been adjourned until February.
