MOUNT MORRIS – A man staying at a local motel was arrested after allegedly lying to police to account for pills which had apparently inexplicably vanished from his possession.
According to a press release from Livingston County Undersheriff Matthew Bean, Allan Sullivan, 39, Mount Morris, was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident Third Degree, an A misdemeanor, and Making a False Punishable Written Statement, an A misdemeanor, on August 13.
“Mr. Sullivan reported a burglary at his room at [the motel], but an investigation revealed that no burglary had occurred,” said Chief Deputy Matthew Burgess. “He had fabricated a story to account for missing pills.”
No drug charges have been made against Sullivan at this time.
Sullivan was released and will appear in response to the Falsely Reporting and Making a False Statement charges in Mount Morris Town Court on a later date.
