LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Conservative Party cross-endorses Republican Amy Mann for re-election as County Treasurer.
Conservative Party Chair Rev. Jason McGuire said that the endorsement is the result of Mann’s work and her ‘willingness to work with the party.’
“We’re willing to work with candidates who are willing to work with us,” said McGuire. “We think she’s done a great job and would like that tradition to continue.”
The Republican Party designated Mann for Treasurer at their meeting on May 4.
According to Livingston County’s website, the County Treasurer has custody of all money belonging to the county or in which the County has an interest, and also serves as Treasurer for the County Social Services Department, and as trustee for court and trust funds.
The County Treasurer also has various Statutory duties which include: delinquent tax collection, granting certificates of residence, distributing unpaid school and village tax monies, accounting for all county funds and records, reporting department balances, and many other activities required by the government.
The election is Nov. 7.
