LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and local police departments will have extra patrols out this week looking for drunk or drugged drivers.
According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, who also serves as Livingston County’s STOP DWI Coordinator, there will be extra cars and deputies on the roads Wednesday through Saturday.

“We ask that all folks make a safe plan this Thanksgiving and don’t drive drunk or impaired,” said Dougherty. “Deputies will be out making our roadways a safer place to travel but our best partner in public safety is you. Please make good decisions.”
Several local village police departments will also have extra patrols out.
The extra patrols are covered by a NYS grant to Livingston County that is disbursed by Dougherty.
