Cops Find Heroin on Driver Asleep at Geneseo Gas Pump

GENESEO – The Geneseo Police Department filed drug charges against a Leicester resident who was allegedly asleep at the wheel at the gas pumps at Mobil/7-Eleven on Main Street.

According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Marisa Mazzarella, 30, was arrested for misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. The incident occurred at about 2:05 a.m. on July 11.

“The officer was able to wake her up and put her through field sobriety tests,” said Osganian. “She passed.”

However, the officer found what is believed to be heroin in her possession.

The officer issued Mazzarella an appearance ticket for Geneseo Village Court.
