GENESEO – The alleged theft of an electric toothbrush and other items from Walmart led State Police to Livonia on Friday to make an arrest.
According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, State Police arrested Mary Jason, 40, after she was identified in video recordings from Walmart’s security cameras and refused to come in on her own accord.
“We had [Jason] identified in the video,” said Chief Osganian. “She just refused to come in, so State Police had to go pick her up.”
Jason is alleged to have stolen $45 of merchandise, including an electric toothbrush and hair trimmer.
Jason now stands charged with Petit Larceny, an A misdemeanor, and is set to return to Geneseo Village Court at a later date.
