“I’m honored that the Conservatives chose to endorse me,” said McCaffrey. “I’m glad that the Conservatives chose to look beyond party lines and understand that the DA’s Office is so much more than politics.”
Conservative Party Chair Jason McGuire said that the Conservative Committee chose McCaffrey after interviewing McCaffrey and candidate Ray Sciarrino in a closed meeting.
“After interviewing both candidates, we found Mr. McCaffrey to be the better prosecutor, even in the way that he composed himself at the meeting,” said McGuire. “He has the vision that we share for Livingston County and we want him to continue to be DA.”
McCaffrey also unanimously received the endorsement of the Livingston County Democratic Party.
Sciarrino is endorsed by the Livingston County Republican Party.
The election is Nov. 8.
