O’Donnell is the Democratic Congressional candidate for New York’s 27th Congressional district, which includes Orleans, Genesee, Wyoming, and Livingston Counties, and parts of Erie, Monroe, Niagara, and Ontario Counties. The Committee has invited Congressional candidates in the past, and people are always eager to talk face-to-face with Congressional candidates when they come to Livingston County.
“He’s an interesting guy,” said Judith Hunter, Chair of the Livingston County Democratic Committee. “He’s a police officer who practices law part time, and he will cheerfully tell you that he’s a former Republican.”
According to O’Donnell’s campaign website, he promises to exempt small businesses from regulations intended for big corporations, increase sentences for those who commit crimes with guns, and reform the country’s agricultural policy so small farms are given the same subsidies as wealthy ones.
The picnic runs from noon to 3p.m. and is free and open to the public. Beverages and entrees are provided. The Committee asks that everyone bring a side dish or dessert to pass.
