UPDATE: Conesus Lake Search Called Off Until Monday Morning
LIVONIA – Rescuers are searching the north end of Conesus Lake for two men who were reported missing Sunday morning.
According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty on scene, teams are searching the lake with the help of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (AUV).
“We took a report of two missing males,” said Dougherty. “Part of the search includes a search of the lake. We did discover two helmets with the use of our UAV.”
The two men are believed to have been snowmobiling across the lake from West to East when their snowmobile fell through the ice.
Dougherty added that the search is expected to take several hours at least.
Members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office dive team are at the scene alongside the Lakeville Fire Department, South Corning Fire Department, Springwater Fire Department, Livingston County Office of Emergency Management, and Livingston County EMS.
