THE LIVINGSTON COUNTRY CLUB IS LOOKING TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS (FILE PHOTO)
GENESEO — The Livingston Country Club has had a rich history, but on Saturday the club will be doing something which has never been done in its 86-year existence.
The club will be hosting a fundraising gala, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at The Nines, the LCC restaurant, for about 250 club members along with their families and friends.
All the money raised will be directly used to fund the club’s capital improvement master plan which will span the next five to seven years.
“Some items of the plan include upgrading the golf course’s tees, cart paths, watering systems, and maintenance equipment, as well as improving the country club’s general infrastructure,” said Co-chairperson Don Chiara, through a press release. “All (of the improvements) will provide better golfing and dining experiences for its membership, their guests, and the public-at-large.”
Guests of the gala will be served drinks and hors d’oeuvres, Tommy T & The Gliders will perform live music, all while the patrons listen to hear if they have won one of 50 prizes to be given away.
A total of $15,000 in cash prizes will be raffled off along with $5,000 in golf packages, dining certificates, bed and breakfast stays, and two free LCC golf memberships.
