LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County 4-H Public Presentations program continues to grow with increased participation by their youngest members, or ‘Cloverbuds.’
According to a press release from Livingston County 4-H, 54 of their members up to age 18, including 15 Cloverbuds ages 5 to 7 gave 3-to-10-minute presentations on any topic of interest and to peers, adults, and judges. This year’s participants used many tools and technologies to give a wide variety of demonstrations, speeches, and PowerPoint presentations.
“To have such a large number of young members participate is very exciting. So many people have a fear of public speaking.” said Renee Hopkins, 4-H Community Educator. “Learning to talk in front of a group when you’re young can really help a child develop the confidence needed to grow into an effective public speaker as an adult.”
This year’s participants included: Emma Bailor-Laughlin, Jade Barrows, Jeriah Barrows, Abigail Bean, Clara Benham, Clark Benham, Jackson Bennett, Jacob Bennett, Jaiden Bentley, Michaela Bugman, Noah Cowdrick, Isabelle Dennis, Audrey DeWit, Rian DeWit, Devon Flick, Lindsay Flick, Kara Flynn, Emmalyn Gibson, Nathan Gibson, Ashley Greene, Dylan Greene, Ty Halpenny, Sarah Hammond, Lauren Hanglow, Elijah Hopkins, Bridgitte Johnson, Cyle Johnson, Megan Korpiel, Aydan Low, Anna Lyness, Benjamin Lyness, Daniel Lyness, Kaitlyn Monroe, Sydney Murray, August Schleede, Emmalynn Schleede, Lynn Schleede, Quinten Schleede, Xavier Schleede, Johnathan Schofield, Rachel Schofield, Walker Scott, Maeve Seeley, Lily Sharp, Jacob Sherman, Onnolee Shutt, Reid Shutt, Lynn Stevens, Leah Watkins, Sarah Watkins, Kristina Webster, Teagan Werner, Brady Wood, and Cameron Wood.
