Chocofrolic to Bring Local Business, Community Together

GENESEO – The Geneseo Merchants Association (GMA) says that this Saturday, Feb. 7, Main Street will be paved with Chocolate as 16 local shops and restaurants will offer a variety of chocolate delights as well as discounted Valentines Day gifts.

According to GMA, the day of chocolate will run at noon to 3 p.m. and will include story readings, massages, wine tastings, chocolate painting, and a screening of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at Big Tree. Two new Main Street shops Crickets Coffee Et Cetera, and Sweet Arts Bakery will both have their opportunity to share some of their best chocolate treats with the local community.

Participating shops include Body & Face by Kristin, Genesee Valley Florist, Aunt Cookies Subs, Miceli’s Deli, Sundance Books, Stagecoach Florist, the Not Dot Shop, Valley Liquor, Image Empire Salon, Georgia’s Clothes Horse, Big Tree Inn, Nothnagle Realtors, Touch of Grace Gifts, and for the first time, Sweet Arts Bakery and Cricket’s Coffee Et Cetera.

Saturday will be an exciting first chance for folks to see the inside of Sweet Arts Bakery and Cricket’s Coffee.

Tickets are available now on the Geneseo Shops Facebook page, $5 for adults and $2 for children. Once THose with tickets can register at Brows, Brazillians & Bikinis on 28 Main Street. Children 12 and under can pick up their free gift bag with chocolate bears from the Big Tree Inn, along with $15 in special Chocofrolic dollars to spend on sweets. There will also be a chance to win a grand prize worth over $500 in merchandise and gift certificates. In order to win, visit all 16 local shops on Main Street to receive a “Golden Ticket,” a $25 charge card.
