Children Unharmed but Driver Injured in Telephone Pole Crash

CALEDONIA – Two young children were unhurt following a crash into a telephone pole that rolled the car they were riding in and injured their driver, an 83-year-old woman.

According to news partner 13WHAM, the children, ages 5 and 8, were surprisingly calm on scene where they were checked out and doing fine, according to Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Sheriff’s Deputies said that the driver was eastbound on Route 5 in Caledonia Sunday afternoon when the car left the roadway and hit a utility pole before rolling over.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. Deputies said it is unclear what caused the accident.
