LIVINGSTON COUNTY – One of three men who were involved in a series of heists and thefts from construction companies in several counties was sentenced on Thursday as a second felony offender for burglarizing Lewis Tree Service in Caledonia.
William Kelly III, 45, who is currently serving a prison sentence at Attica Correctional Facility for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 3 years in prison, concurrent to his present sentence.
Kelly’s attorney, David Wade, said that Kelly pled guilty to Attempted Grand Larceny in the Third Degree in April.
Kelly also owes $5,900 in restitution to the victim, to be paid by himself and his two codefendants, Michael Correia and Robert Kelly.
William Kelly has been incarcerated at Attica since April 2015 for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree.
