LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The National Weather Service has activated a flash flood warning for Livingston County.
According to the National Weather Service, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Over an inch of rain has already fallen, and another one to two inches of rain is likely.
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include Geneseo, Mount Morris and Dansville.
This includes 390 between exits 5 and 7 and 90 between exits 57 and 54.
The National Weather Service recommends that anyone in hilly terrain should avoid low water crossings, which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain.
