GENESEO — The Cornell University Cooperative Extension in Livingston County has scheduled an upcoming meeting to build support for farmers’ markets in Livingston County.
The event will be co-hosted by the Cornell Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) Outreach Team. Growers, community organizations, market managers, and interested community members are all encouraged to attend.
The event’s hosts will review programs and services that support farmers’ markets, such as SNAP, FMNP, and other creative local programs, and will offer the opportunity to meet individuals affiliated with farmers’ markets in the community.
The ultimate goal of the meeting is to discuss strategies to bring more business to farmers’ markets and promote the use of farmers’ markets among low-income families, according to a press release from the Cornell University Cooperative Extension.
The event will take place April 3 at 6 p.m to 7:30 p.m. at the Livingston County Government Center Room 205-208, which is located at 6 Court Street in Geneseo.
To RSVP, contact Cailin Kowalewski at ck654@cornell.edu or 315-331-8415 prior to Mar. 28.
