No Paper Bags at Wal-Mart After Jan. 18
Walmart recently announced it will no longer provide paper bags to customers after Jan. 18. Wal-Mart has made paper bags available to customers for five cents each, or customers could use reuseable more-than-one use bags which Wal-Mart (and other vendors) sell. Midlakes Elementary Playground Shut Down For Escapee Re-Capture.
The Midlakes Elementary School Playground in Phelps was shut down on Friday afternoon, December 3, when a full-grown male cow escaped from a trailer during transport on Rt. 96, and was seen grazing on the Midlakes Elementary School Playground. Two Pick- up Trucks Crash Into Warsaw School; Drivers Severely Injured
Two trucks crashed into the Warsaw Elementary School Library at about 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, sending two men by Mercy flight, one to ECMC and the other to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, both with life-threatening injuries. Both were listed in stable condition on Saturday.
