Governor Issues Executive Order to Change Any Law To Cope With COVID-19
Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order giving him the right to “temporarily suspend or modify any statute, local law, ordinance, order, rule, or regulation,” if such regulation hinders the State’s ability to cope with COVID-19. LOCAL BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY PROPOSED POLYSTYRENE BAN
Dolco in Bloomfield and Honeoye, Pactiv in Canandaigua, and Commodore in Bloomfield are three Ontario County businesses that would be impacted by the proposed statewide ban on loose fill packaging and polystyrene containers. Cuomo Mandates 75% of Employees Stay Home
It took Gov. Andrew Cuomo just a day to change his mind and make it mandatory that now 75% of the workforce at non-essential businesses must not report for work outside of their homes. The action came as the number of cases in New York swelled to 4,152. Bars, casinos, gyms, movie theaters and restaurants are closing their doors due to the spread of coronavirus.
